Sun Microsystems Unix Workstations and the Year 2000 Problem

Sun provides an extensive web page entitled the "Year 2000 Product Compliance Status List". This (large) page contains a matrix covering the Y2K compliance status of Sun software products (including the SunOS and Solaris Operating Systems) and Sun hardware products. The following Sun operating systems can be made Y2K compliant by applying available patches (details available via the links for each release):

• Solaris 2.6 for SPARC and Intel
• Solaris 2.5.1 for SPARC and Intel
• Solaris 2.5 for SPARC and Intel
• Solaris 2.4 for SPARC and Intel
• Solaris 2.3 for SPARC only
• SunOS 4.1.4
• SunOS 4.1.3_u1 Version B
