The SGI IRIX Operating System Y2K issues are contained in a web page at URL http://www.sgi.com/tech/year2000/irix.html. In brief, IRIX 6.5 is listed as Y2K compliant and patches are available to make IRIX 5.3, 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 Y2K compliant (patch information is available at URL http://support.sgi.com/surfzone/patches/browse/category.html). Releases prior to IRIX 5.3 haven't been tested for Y2K compliance and are not supported in the year 2000 and beyond. IRIX 4.0.5 (which has no available Y2K patches) is known to have substantial Y2K bugs.
